Referred to as the 15 puzzle due to its tile count, it is also occasionally referred to as a 16 puzzle considering its total capacity for tiles. Variants of this puzzle come in different sizes, for instance, the 8 puzzle featuring an arrangement of 8 tiles within a 3x3 frame.
